Jasim is a seasoned journalist and media expert with decades of experience as a news anchor, program presenter, and media professor.
He was news and program presenter for Al Arab News Channel before joining Aljazeera in November 2006, where he presented the weekly show “Inside Iraq” for six years – a show that tackled complex crises and featured interviews with senior American, Iraqi, and European leaders.
A trusted expert in media journalism, Jasim has taught multiple media courses at Aljazeera Media Institute since 2007, including a Talk Show presentation and “How to Speak to the Media.”
Prior to joining Aljazeera, Jasim was the leading news anchor at Abu Dhabi TV for secen years, anchoring the main nightly newscast “Madar Al-Akhbar.” For five years he presented a weekly crossfire profram called “Muwajaha”, a highly respected Arab news program.
Jasim has reported from multiple conflict zones, including the Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000 and from ground zero in New York City following the 9/11 attacks.
Throughout his career, Jasim has interviewed numerous world leaders including Tony Blair, Gadhafi, Hariri, and Boutafliqa.
